Margarita

It’s been a little while since my last post as I’ve been on holiday in Turkey and snagged a few great deals at duty free on the way back, I got 1lt Absolut Citron, 1lt Silver Tequila (£8.50!!!) and a 1lt Cointreau came to about £38 in our currency, buying all these has opened doors for my cocktail making, I’m now able to make Long Island ice tea, Cosmopolitans and of course Margaritas!

This one is a banging classic which will soon have you on the dance floor doing the funky chicken!

Margarita Recipe – Serving 2

100ml Tequila

100ml Lime juice

50ml Cointreau

Salt for the rim

Lime wedge for garnish

First off run a lime wedge around the rim of the Margarita glass then frost the glass using salt, I poured some salt onto a little plate to reduce mess, add to a shaker ice, tequila, lime juice and Cointreau. Fill the glass up to the rim with ice, pour the cocktail into the glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
