One of my favourites, it’s a great basic to work with and there’s so many variations I’ve made Pineapple Mojito, Blueberry and Kiwi Mojito.
The Slug and Lettuce does a fantastic spin on this called Bramberry Mojito which is replace 1 msr of Rum with Chambord and use Pomegranate juice instead of Soda Water.
Mojito one serving
50ml White Rum
25ml Sugar syrup
Few drops Angostura bitters (optional)
3 – 4Lime wedges
6 – 8 Mint leaves
Muddle the lime, sugar syrup, Rum, add crushed ice to 3/4 of collin’s glass add mint leaves then Angostura bitters top with more crushed ice then finish with soda water.
Use a bar spoon to stir after top up with soda water then garnish with mint leaves and lime wedge.
